Why yes, I am one
Of those Christian people.
Is that a problem?

Oh no, I am one
Of those atheist people.
Is that a problem?

Why yes, I do think
That's a problem because I
Think you have it wrong.

Well yeah? I too think
That's a problem because I
Think you have it wrong.

You know what, when you
End up in Hell, don't blame me.
I tried to warn you.

You know what, when you
Die and nothing happens, then
You'll see how you're wrong.

No you're wrong, and on
Judgement Day God Himself
Will say 'you were wrong.'

I regret to inform you that the poem must end here because the conversation portrayed proceeded to go on for thirty pages and got absolutely nowhere. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I have insomnia and therefore the motivation to write stupid things. Also a parody of hardcore atheists vs hardcore theists.

Is that a problem? :icontrollfaceplz:

EDIT: Yes, yes it is.

So, incredibly true. I'm Catholic and I have friends who range from religious to spiritual to atheists. And we manage to remain civilized in our discourse. But then you see people on TV or the internet who act like this and...ugh. Those people make me feel sick and very tired.

Most hardcore Christians/Atheists are not very considerate of the other person's point of view. However, I have heard of a particular Atheist who is very courteous and friendly to Christians (even appreciating it when they try to convert her and defending them when other Atheists are jerks towards Christians) and I personally know several Christians who don't shove Christianity mercilessly at other people (I am a missionary-in-training, but I have Atheist friends and we never get unfriendly about it).

Oh yes, I know that this only represents an incredibly loud-mouthed minority. Many artists and writers that I like are atheists, and most Christians I know are very kind, respectful people. It's just...uggh the Internet.

I wish we lived in a world where people didn't have to worry about stating a differing opinion in a comment without being called a "troll".

Do you choose to partake in a debate?

I would if there wasn't a troll icon in the description. This is why I came to this conclusion, not because it differs in opinion.

even if you are atheist...whats the harm in just thinking that there could be a god? and seriously, you don't have to be assholes and always try to correct Christians? seriously, no one really knows.

it goes the other way round too. christians dont need to be assholes and convert atheists. and the harm in believeing in god "just in case" is that we dont believe. its called belief, not choice for a reason.
